23 세월이 많이 흘러서, 이집트의 왕이 죽었다. 이스라엘 자손이 고된 일 때문에 탄식하며 부르짖으니, 고된 일 때문에 부르짖는 소리가 하나님께 이르렀다.
24 하나님이 그들의 탄식하는 소리를 들으시고, 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 세우신 언약을 기억하시고,
25 이스라엘 자손의 종살이를 보시고, 그들의 처지를 생각하셨다.
