11 주님께서 그 힘센 손으로 나를 붙잡고, 이 백성의 길을 따라가지 말라고, 나에게 이렇게 경고의 말씀을 하셨다.
12 "너희는 이 백성이 모의하는 음모에 가담하지 말아라. 그들이 두려워하는 것을 두려워하지 말며, 무서워하지도 말아라.
13 너희는 만군의 주 그분만을 거룩하다고 하여라. 그분만이 너희가 두려워할 분이시고, 그분만이 너희가 무서워할 분이시다.
14 그는 성소도 되시지만, 이스라엘의 두 집안에게는 거치는 돌도 되시고 걸리는 바위도 되시며, 예루살렘 주민에게는 함정과 올가미도 되신다.
15 많은 사람이 거기에 걸려서 넘어지고 다치며, 덫에 걸리듯이 걸리고 사로잡힐 것이다."

“The Lord has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said, “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble. He will keep you safe. But to Israel and Judah he will be a stone that makes people stumble, a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare. Many will stumble and fall, never to rise again. They will be snared and captured.””
